Celebrations

At the start off this it shows a couple off fist pumps that will help me allot. I would love to animate something like a back flip but they maybe for something to do in my own time. For this i will play it safe a little bit and go for a celebration similar to the first couple maybe adding in a turn of the body to simulate him turning to other people

Fist Pump

As it seems a different kind of fist pump can mean many things, so as my original idea of a bowan arrow celebration does not seem to be going to plan, in stead im going to animate the classic fist pump idea. By what this video shows ill be going for a fist pump that is body level as it seems the most common place for some to show happiness

This is also good reference for my material as it shows all different angles and ultra slow motion so i can really see how to move the character into good postions

From using video evidence like this i  can see how a professional kicks the ball aswell. Combining this with my reference i hope to make my moom character look as realistic as possible.  

Research

This is the inspriation i got for desgin the tittle page with the clouds, however my desgin the tittle comes from behind the clouds

Decided to design a short animation with a font that i liked for the opening tittle. Inspirtaion has been from dreamworks with the clouds in the forground and a background

Girl Growing Up

This is the cage going round as the girl starts to show, iv experimented with the speed off the cage moving and the colour off the background. Think the black one works the best as you can almost lose her growing with the white background Also i have moved her down as it would seem she is floating but not sure which one is the best so far.

Yellow Ballon opening scene take 2

With the first one the @cage really stood out as everything else was so bright. On this copy the clouds have been darkend along with the rock to make it seem more realistic

This is the first scene with the clouds moving, just need to put the cage in and maybe make the clouds abit darker so they become more noticeable

This will be good research into the cage people i feel as it dosent really have any eyes just more skulls inside which i feel is quite effect way off drawing the "cage" people in our animation 
With these images im looking more at the back ground off these two pieces. I really like the clouds in the back off the boat picture as they seem quite unusual in a way and different from the rest. With the pictures with the clocks i like as it could be put into the animation where she goes into space and sees all the random objects.

The link above is about a guy called Icarus. Icarus is the son off Deaduls who felt they needed to get away from there island so they build some wax wings for them both to help them escape. This is the kind off same meaning as as our Story off the Yellow Ballon as the girl feels trapped inside her "cage" however we will differ from the story as the girl does not fall to her death from flying to close to the sun.

With the last shot of the cage opening out like a flower id thought id look into some off how they opening. As one petal goes first and seems to break out, we could maybe look into one of the cage people falling first therefore paving a way for all the others to break out and fall.

Looking at this it seems to bounce allot more than i expected it to bounce in the first place, After looking through other videos, i found a video off a person playing basketball with them which surpised me further as i thought they didnt really bounce at all.

 Thought it could come from a different angle with this way, as it looks like its coming towards the camera

A more creepy looking hand that might fit better and also i think this hand looks more manly

 With the hand grabbing the foot i thought it should be a real close up off it so people can understand what is going on in the scene

 Couple of ideas for the cage people

 With the rock and the cage on top i thought i would make it quite mistey so it would look a misreable place to be with a small bit off light from the moon shinning

Very rough charaecter turnaround. As she is fragile thought i would make her very thin and fraile

Different songs that could be used for the animation. I was leaning more towards the cold play song Yellow as it seems to fit more and espically with the lyrics " Look at the stars, look how they shine for you" as it seems really fitting

Second movie that got done, quite proud how this has gone but you cant really see the spin on the ball
